The C.A.S.T Anxiety Cards
The C.A.S.T™ Anxiety Cards are a clinical and scripture-based mental wellness tool designed to help you interrupt anxious thoughts, regulate your nervous system, and restore peace by aligning your mind with truth.
Anxiety affects both the mind and body. These cards guide you through a structured, evidence-based and spiritually grounded process to help you regain clarity, calm, and emotional stability.
This tool is based on the C.A.S.T™ Method (inspired by an evidenced based treatment model Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with Faith Based Therapeutic Interventions):
C.A.S.T™ = Confront • Align • Shift • Transform
How to Use the Cards
Use these cards anytime you notice anxiety in your thoughts, emotions, or body.
You may:
• Pull a card when feeling anxious
• Select a card that matches your current symptom
• Use during prayer, reflection, or quiet time
• Use during therapy, journaling, or emotional regulation practice
Use daily or as needed.
The C.A.S.T™ Process
C — Confront
Identify the anxious thought.
Awareness is the first step to change. Naming the thought reduces its power and activates your thinking brain rather than your survival brain.
Ask yourself:
What am I thinking right now?
A — Align
Replace anxiety with truth.
Each card provides scripture to help realign your thoughts with truth and restore perspective.
Truth calms the nervous system and interrupts fear.
S — Shift
Choose a healthier, grounded perspective.
This step helps you mentally reframe anxiety and reinforce emotional safety.
Repeat the affirmation provided on the card.
This strengthens new neural pathways associated with peace, safety, and stability.
T — Transform
Regulate your body and restore calm.
Each card includes a simple action to help your nervous system return to balance.
This may include:
• Slow breathing
• Muscle relaxation
• Grounding exercises
• Speaking truth aloud
Transformation happens when both your mind and body experience safety.
What to Expect:
With consistent use, you may experience:
• Reduced intensity of anxious thoughts
• Increased emotional control
• Improved ability to calm your body
• Greater sense of peace and clarity
• Increased confidence in managing anxiety
Peace is not the absence of difficulty. It is the presence of stability within.
When to Use Most
Use these cards when you feel:
• Overwhelmed
• Fearful
• Mentally restless
• Physically tense
• Emotionally unsettled
• Spiritually disconnected
Or anytime you want to center your mind and restore peace.
Reminder
Anxiety is a signal, not a threat.
You have the ability to regulate your mind and body.
Peace is available to you. It is God's promise to all of us.
